Once you test fit the boards, you’re ready to clamp and glue. I put a single bead of glue between the two rail pieces, clamped them down, then put in a few wood screws for good measure.
Ignore that fact that mine looks almost complete now… we’re just working on the rail, you’ll get to the rest soon enough.
Now we’re back to working on the base boards. You’ll be cutting out two identical pieces that will be the base of your table. Later, you’ll be cutting the center out of once piece to make your raceway.
Tips: To prevent from chipping, clamp down the boards behind you as you cut so they don’t drop to the ground and splinter.
With a jigsaw you want the finished side up, but if you are using a router, finished side goes down.
